The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission is to arrest the Chief of Staff to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Alhaji Munir Sanusi, for refusing to appear before it for questioning, Daily Trust is reporting.
Also to be arrested are two members of staff of the Kano Emirate Council, Mujitaba Abba and Sani Muhammad Kwaru, who equally failed to honour the commission’s invitation for the ongoing probe of Sanusi over alleged questionable expenditure of over N4 billion.
The commission has concluded arrangement to move a motion of exparte before a Chief Magistrate Court 18 in Kano on Tuesday to secure an order for their arrest, a source in the Legal Department of the commission told Daily Trust on Monday.
