The Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, has approved the resignation from office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Hon. Rufus Bature, with immediate effect.
The resignations were in a statement by the State Government.
Bature recently resigned his appointment to enable him to contest for the Plateau North Senatorial District seat in the 2019 elections.
Consequently, the Governor has approved the appointment of Sir Richard Tokma, who is the Permanent Secretary, Policy and General Services in the office of the SSG, to replace him as the Acting SSG immediately.
In a statement by Mark Longyen, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, said Lalong has also approved forthwith the resignation from office of the Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Hitler Dadi.
Dadi also recently resigned from office to enable him to contest for the position of Member, Federal House of Representatives, Langtang North and South Constituency in the 2019 polls.
The Governor thanked the duo and other appointees who also recently resigned in order to pursue their political aspirations for their invaluable services to the state generally and particularly for their immeasurable contributions to the success of the Rescue Administration in the past three years.
Lalong wished all of them the best of luck in their political aspirations and future endeavours.
