PDP suspends Ayo Fayose

The Peoples Democratic Party, Ekiti State chapter, has suspended a former Governor of the state, Ayo Fayose.

Fayose was suspended along with three others by the State Working Committee of the party on Tuesday.
Fayose was alleged to be the mastermind of the violence at the state secretariat of the party in Ado Ekiti last week.
The violence left members of the SEC and journalists injured.
Several dangerous weapons, including guns, were used during the violence.
Fayose is said to be opposed to the proposal of the SEC to have a consensus candidate for next year’s gubernatorial election in the state.
