The National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday welcomed President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation in London.
In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Dayo Adeyeye, the party prayed for complete recovery of the President.
It, however, advised the Presidency to be more transparent in managing the president’s health, saying: “Nigerians deserves to know the health status of their president and how it’s being managed.
“In the same vein, we thank the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for holding forth creditably while the president was away.
“We urge him to continue to work assiduously to lift the nation out of this debilitating economic recession.
“To achieve this all hands must be on deck. And, there is therefore the need to reduce political tension and bring all Nigerians together.”
The PDP also called on all Nigerians to continue to pray for Buhari’s quick recovery and for wisdom for Osinbajo in the onerous task of steering the ship of the nation.
Buhari left Nigeria for London for medical vacation on January 19 and returned on Friday.
