The Osun State chapter of the Hope Democratic Party has concluded plans to mobilize and register new members into its fold.
This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen by the state Chairman, Wole Adedoyin, in Ilesa on Wednesday after an emergency meeting of the party.
Adedoyin hinted that Hope Democratic Party is currently one of the new political parties in Osun State.
Though the party was registered on November 10, 2006, later de-registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission in 2011, but was reinstated by a Federal High Court in 2015.
Part of the statement reads: “HDP was brought to Osun State almost a year after the last general elections. It has never participated in any organized election before in the state. But we shall participate in the next gubernatorial election come 2018. Our party stands for transparency, equality, accountability, integrity, justice, peace, trust and truth.”
The party urged interested Osun State residents to register anytime the party commences its membership registration across the state.
