Osas Okoro scored on the dot of 90 minutes to peg back a Kano Selected XI in a warm-up game played on Tuesday ahead of Sunday’s CHAN final playoff in Benin.
The national team appeared tired and jaded for most parts of the game possibly after the exertions in the NPFL matches at the weekend.
Auwalu Ali aka Mallam put the Kano Selected ahead after 44 minutes.
He was also the player who scored when the CHAN Eagles beat Kano Pillars feeders’ team 3-1 last week.
Mfon Udoh, Stephen Eze, Ezekiel Golbe and Theophilus Afelokhai were all introduced in the second half.
The team will observe a break on Wednesday and are expected to travel out to Benin on Friday.
The home-based Eagles will tackle their counterparts from Benin in Cotonou on Sunday with the return leg match in Kano on August 19.
