Fit-again Academica de Coimbra of Portugal midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu, has expressed his willingness to win laurels with the Super Eagles.
Ogu, who returned from injury to score a goal in his club’s win over Victoria Setubal in a Portuguese League tie at the weekend, stated that he is prepared to lift the national team in the next games.
His words: “I was very patient with my rehabilitation process but I’m as fit as a fiddle now and I want to transform my new found form into the national team.
“I secured my entry visa into America a few days ago and I’m looking forward to the game against Mexico because it will give me the opportunity to prove myself to everyone.
“Constantly, I speak with other members of the Super Eagles and they gave me impression that they can no longer wait for the competition to kick off. The Confederation Cup is a showpiece and every player wants to be part of it and I’m no exception to that.”
