Odom suffers 12 strokes

Lamar Odom suffered 12 strokes early on in his medical emergency, according to reports.

The basketball player was found unconscious at the Love Ranch South brothel in Nevada, United States of America on October 13 after a reported drug overdose.

Odom has since undergone two emergency surgeries and is in a stable condition at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Doctors performed brain scans on the former basketball player and discovered he had suffered a number of strokes, which have affected his ability to walk and talk, editors at TMZ.com report.

He will reportedly have to undergo months of physical therapy in a bid to recover, and while Odom’s vital organs were not harmed by the strokes, reports suggest he is having problems with his kidneys.

The crisis appears to have prompted a reconciliation between Odom and his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian – they split in 2013, but have called off divorce proceedings while Odom recovers.

Kardashian is now reportedly missing sister Kim Kardashian’s baby shower after skipping her birthday celebrations on Wednesday, while the reality TV star has also cancelled her upcoming book tour for her autobiography: Strong Looks Better Naked.
