The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has visited the Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Chief Afe Babalola (SAN), in his office in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, and also human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, at the correctional centre in the city over their defamation case face-off.
According to available information, the visits of the former two-term Anambra State governor to Babalola and Farotimi took place on Monday.
Specifically, the visit to the Senior Advocate of Nigeria was said to have been facilitated by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
At the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Centre along Afao Road, Ado-Ekiti, Obi also met with Farotimi.
Obi, however, did not speak with newsmen who got wind of his visit to Babalola and Farotimi as he left the correctional centre on Monday evening.

The Eagle Online recalls that Farotimi was dragged before a Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti last week.
He was granted bail on Monday, but was yet to perfect the conditions as at the time of Obi’s visit.
He was dragged to court by the police following a petition by Babalola over a book in which he accused the SAN of bribing the justices of the Supreme Court.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has also filed a fresh suit against him before the Federal High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti bordering on cybercrime.
