Afraid that what he says on the February 14 presidential election may be misinterpreted, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said on Wednesday that he has stopped making public comments on the chances of the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress candidates, President Goodluck Jonathan and retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari.
Obasanjo is believed to have been very critical of Jonathan, while tacitly supporting Buhari.
However, some of the critical comments allegedly made by Obasanjo of recent have been found to have come from a fake Twitter account.
Obasanjo, on Wednesday at a seminar for some monarchs from the Egba Traditional Council, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said: “I have made enough comments in speech and body language.
“Whoever wants me to make further comments must be a stranger in this country.
“I have spoken enough.
“We should go and vote that day and vote right.
“I will talk after the election.”
