The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted partly cloudy morning conditions over the central States of the country on Tuesday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 37 and 18 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
It added that there would be chances of localised thunderstorms over Lafia, Makurdi and Abuja in the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency predicted that the southern States would experience cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms during the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 33 to 39 and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions with chances of localised thundery activities over Yelwa and Southern Kebbi later in the day.
NiMet predicted: “Day and night temperatures are expected to be in the range of 35 to 40 and 20 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are expected over the Northern cities down to some parts of the Central states.
“There are indications of chances of localised rainfall activities over the southern region within the next 24 hours.”
