Two persons have been confirmed dead, while two others were rescued from a three-storey building that collapsed in Yaba area of Lagos.
Ibrahim Farinloye, Zonal Coordinator, South West, National Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the development.
He made the confirmation to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos.
Farinloye said that a three-storey building under construction at 16, Akanbi Crescent, off Adesina Street, Harvey, Sabo, Yaba collapsed, trapping about five workers.
He said: “Two of them have been rescued alive, but two adult males were recovered dead.
“Search and rescue operations are ongoing.”
