The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has recovered 12 cartons of tramadol from Pakistan.
The recovery was made at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State on January 23, 2024.
According to a statement on Sunday by the Director of Media and Advocacy of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, the 12 cartons of tramadol 225mg contained 599,900 pills.
The drug, which weighed 385.40kg, was recovered from an overstayed cargo at the SAHCO import shed of the Lagos airport after a joint examination with other agencies.

The tramadol consignment had come into the country in two batches on KLM Royal Dutch Airline flights from Karachi, Pakistan between July 27 and August 1, 2023.
They were placed under watch by NDLEA operatives since then.
