The Federal Government has reiterated that it is focusing on creating a conducive environment where healthcare professionals can thrive, innovate, and make a lasting impact.
The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Tunji Alausa, made this known at a meeting with the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA), in California.
Alausa, in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, disclosed that Nigeria will host the ANPA conference in 2025.
The minister, who represented President Bola Tinubu said the government is determined to bring transformative changes to the health sector.
His words: “The new government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is steadfast in its resolve to bring about transformative changes within the healthcare sector.
“We understand that a robust healthcare system is fundamental to the nation’s development, and we are committed to implementing policies that ensure accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for every Nigerian.

“Your expertise, knowledge, and experience are crucial in bridging the gaps and addressing the challenges that our healthcare system faces.
“We are keenly aware of the remarkable strides you have made in various specialities and the innovative solutions you have championed in your respective fields.
“Your achievements are a testament to the potential that exists within our nation, and we are eager to harness this potential for the greater good of our people.
“We recognise the challenges that exist, but we are undeterred. Our focus is on creating a conducive environment where healthcare professionals can thrive, innovate and make a lasting impact.
“This includes investments in infrastructure, technology, and education to ensure that our healthcare facilities are equipped to meet the demands of a growing population.”
Commending the role of ANPA in elevating healthcare standards, Alausa said hosting the ANPA conference in 2025 symbolises the government’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, embracing innovation, and creating an environment where Nigerian professionals can thrive both at home and in diaspora.
