In-form Nigerian international, Obafemi Martins banged in his 13th goal of the season in Seattle Sounders 3-2 win over Real Salt in a Major Soccer League tie on Friday night.
The pacy striker found the net in the 43rd minute which puts Seattle ahead just before the break.
Andy Rose, Lamar Neagle were other goal scorers for Seattle while Joao Plata and Javier Morales made the scorers chart for Real Salt FC.
The victory was the fourth straight for the Sounders, and widened their lead over second-place Los Angeles to four points.
Despite his impressive form, Martins is yet to be considered to earn a recall to feature for the Super Eagles in their quest to qualify for the African Cup of Nations in Morocco.
