The final screening of candidates for the main Lagos Football Association elections holds on May 15, 2023 at the Secretariat of the FA at 149, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos, starting from 9am.
There are two candidates seeking clearance for the post of the Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association.
They are two-time vice chairman of the Lagos FA, Otunba Tade Azeez, from Lagos Central Senatorial District, and a politician, Ade Oki Fuad, also Lagos Central Senatorial District.
Two candidates are also seeking clearance to contest for the post of Vice Chairman.
They are Olugbenga Adedotun Coker, a two-time Technical Director of the Lagos FA, from Lagos West Senatorial District, and Liameed Olawale Gafar, Proprietor of 36 Lions Football Club, also from the Lagos West Senatorial District.
There are 14 candidates seeking clearance for the post of board members on the Lagos FA.
They include George Ajibola Akinpelu from the Lagos Central Senatorial District; Ahmed Akintunde Tinubu from Lagos Central; Olakunle Yusuf Fashola from Lagos Central; Damilare Ezekiel Orimoloye, also from Lagos Central; and Moses Enitan Adebanjo from Lagos West.
The others are Abdullahi Nakelly Mikail from Lagos West, Akinyemi Idris Akanji from Lagos West, Osinaike Olusegun Olawale from Lagos East Senatorial District, Abiodun Adeoye Afeez from Lagos East, Ogunmuyiwa Jimoh Adeleye from Lagos East, and Sonibare Lukmon Abdul from Lagos East.
The rest for the Board members positions are Onadeko Adekeye from Lagos East and Moheed Adegbindi from Lagos East.
The only candidate for the lone position of member is Abiola Wasiu Ola from Lagos West.
