Keshi demands for Congo tapes

Out of contract Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi, has demanded for the video tapes of the African champions’ opponents, Congo, to plan ahead of the September 6 AFCON 2015 qualifying clash at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State.
The video tapes, according to the AFCON 2013 winning coach, would help the Super Eagles to adopt a strategic plan to subdue the Congolese in Nigeria.
Speaking through his brother and representative, Emmanuel Ado, the coach said he had communicated with the football house to provide him with the tape as soon as he arrives in the country.
“Yeah, he (Keshi) has concluded his plans to travel back to Nigeria and he will be joining us this weekend,” Ado said.
He further informed: “The Eagles have a limited time to the game in Calabar. So, the coach is striving hard to have an understanding of the Congolese pattern of play. But the football house has promised to deliver the tapes to him on arrival.”
The barrister at law also hinted that the coach, who was expected to arrive aboard a KLM Airline flight, would be moving straight to Calabar to start preparations for the September 6 game and had promised to impose sanctions on players that arrive late to camp.
Ado said: “Keshi is taking this match with all seriousness. He has also spoken with all the invited players and urged them to report to camp early. He is, however, ready to wield the big stick on erring players.”
The former Hawks of Togo handler was prevailed on by the Senate President, Senator David Mark, as well as the Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo, to guide the Super Eagles in their AFCON 2015 double header qualifiers against Congo and South Africa before a fresh contractual negotiations resume.
Keshi had told the football authorities in the country that he was quitting since an agreement could not be reached on the terms for the renewal of his contract, which expired with the end of the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
