Kano Pillars FC on Wednesday in Kano defeated Enugu Rangers 2-1 in the ongoing Globacom Premier league.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the match was played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata in Kano.
Rangers’s lone goal was scored in the 23rd minute of the first half through Bobby Clement.
However, Kano Pillars were able to equalise in 45th minute of the game and few minutes to the end of the second half through Azee Shobowale, who later scored the second goal.
The game was played 10 against 11 after a Rangers player, Emeka Eze, was given a red card in the first half of the game.
Kano Pillars’ Coach, Babaganaru Muhammad, commended the players for their wonderful performance during the match.
Muhammad called on them to put more effort during their coming matches in order to win the trophy.
Rangers’ Coach, Imama Amapakabo, expressed disappointment over the defeat.
According to Amapakabo, he was in Kano with his players to win the match, but they were unfortunately defeated.
