Julius Berger Nigeria is set to close the diversion points opened on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during the Yuletide.
The information filtered in on Wednesday, triggering fears of a return to the extreme traffic witnessed before the diversions were opened.
The Federal Government called for the opening of the diversions to ease traffic during the holidays.
According to an advisory sighted by The Eagle Online from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance Agency: “This is to inform the public that the diversion opened during the yuletide period to ease traffic is about to the closed back so that major work will continue according to the Julius Berger.
“This implies that slow movement will definitely resume back in this axis (Nasfat/Deeper Life) since the width of the road will be reduced.
“Therefore, motorists are advised to be patient within the above mentioned corridor.
“You are welcome back as TRACE operatives are on the road doing the necessity.”
