The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation on Wednesday alleged that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, held a nocturnal meeting with some chieftains of the All Progressives Party in Dubai, the United Arab Emirate, with a view to rigging the general elections in favour of the APC.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, stated this while addressing journalists at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
Fani-Kayode also listed eight questions relating to the issue of the Permanent Voter Cards for Jega to answer.
The PDPPCO specifically accused Prof. Jega of holding a nocturnal meeting with some unnamed chieftains of the APC in Dubai over how to manipulate the result of the general elections in favour of the party.
Fani-Kayode pointed out that the PDPPCO may be compelled to lose confidence in INEC under Jega over his bias.
He challenged Jega to be honourable and transparent by publishing accurate information on the state of PVCs such as: how many PVCs are in the country, their location on state by state basis, when the remaining PVCs will arrive from China and how the Commission plans to distribute them before elections.
