Raphael Igbokwe, a Nigerian Diaspora Boxer professionally known as Trouble, has expressed his excitement to be back home after 12 years in the United States of America, saying that being a Nigerian makes him happy.
The boxer spoke during a courtesy visit to Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.
Igbokwe said during the visit in the office of Dabiri-Erewa in Abuja: “This is the best time I have had in my life.
“I am super excited to be back home in Nigeria.
“I love Nigeria.”
The boxer, who was very elated, described Nigeria as his home, adding that coming home is the best decision he has made.
The NiDCOM boss, who was very happy to receive the boxer, appreciated him for making Nigeria proud.
“You make me proud to be a Nigerian,” she added.
Dabiri-Erewa urged Igbokwe to continue to be a role model to Nigerians, while noting that the country is proud of him.
She said” “We want to work with you to harness the many talents out there and mentor these youths.
“There is so much we will be doing together.”

Dabiri-Erewa encouraged him to continue to be a good ambassador of the country, narrating that the Commission has established a Diaspora Sports Mentorship Programme to facilitate diaspora skills transfer in sports.
Igbokwe is a Middleweight boxing champion based in Houston, Texas, USA.
He is credited with 18 wins, three losses and 11 knockouts.
