Fear gripped indigenes of the village when at about 11pm during their monthly traditional dance event the gunmen shot sporadically in the air.
It was gathered that three other persons sustained bullet injuries.
The injured persons were rushed to an undisclosed hospital, while the dead have been buried according to Islamic rites, investigations revealed.
The gunmen, three in number, were said to have invaded the village on a motorcycle.

Oguche explained that the command has intensified its patrol in the community to forestall any further attack.
He urged members of the community to remain calm and assist the police with useful information.
