Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State has appointed the Secretary to the State Government and his Chief of Staff.
The appointments were announced via a statement on Thursday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Adeniyi Adesina.
While Oluwole Oyebamiji was named as Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Charles Akinola emerged as Oyetola’s Chief of Staff and Adeyanju Binuyo as Deputy Chief of Staff.
Adesina, said the appointments take immediate effect.
According to the statement, Oyebamiji was a 1987 graduate of Theatre Arts of the University of Ibadan.
He was a former Permanent Secretary in the state, one-time General Manager of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation and erstwhile full-time Commissioner in the Osun State Civil Service Commission.
Akinola is an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Fellow of the Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs, Harvard University.
Binuyo obtained Bsc and Msc from the University of Lagos.
Oyetola was sworn-in as governor on November 27, 2018.
He defeated Senator Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, for the September 2018 governorship election.
