FUT Minna graduates 7,482 students

The Federal University of Technology, Minna Niger state, will be graduating 7,482 students as the combined 21st, 22nd and23rd convocation ceremonies hold in the University this week.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Musbau Akanji disclosed this in Minna while briefing journalists on the first of its kind forthcoming convocation ceremonies of the institution
He said this year’s convocation will be graduating 7,482 students,6394 for first degree,576 for master’s degree,45 doctor of philosophy and 467 for post graduate diplomas.
The vice chancellor also disclosed that the school cannot employ the services of those made who made first class in their various disciplines, adding that they should enrol for their post graduate studies.
“it is the new generation Universities that can employ graduate assistant, we cannot, considering 82 first class graduates we produced, due to lack of fund.”.
He further gave the breakdown as follows: first degree in which 82 students graduated with first class, 1533 graduated with second class upper division, 3000 second class lower division, 1563 third class and 216 graduated with pass.
Prof. Akanji however commended academic and non-academic staff of the University for their contribution towards promoting the standard of education through hard work and excellence.
