Five soldiers wounded as troops repel Boko Haram attack, kill six terrorists

Five soldiers were confirmed wounded when members of Boko Haram attacked their position at Pulka in Borno State.
Those wounded were said to be troops of the 121 Task Force Battalion, 26 Task Force Brigade.
The attack, carried out on Sunday, was, however, successfully repelled.
The terrorists, who came through Banki axis of Sambisa forest, attempted to inflict damage on the troops.
But the vigilant soldiers were said to have risen to the occasion and dealt decisively with the terrorists by killing six of them.
They also recovered one Fabrique Nationale rifle with registration number 167229, two belts of 148 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition and one FN rifle magazine loaded with 7.62mm ammunition (Special).
The troops also blew up three vehicles laden with Improvised Explosives Device.
The wounded soldiers have been moved to the unit’s Medical Reception Station for treatment.
