UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid, were ranked tops in the latest European clubs rankings on Wednesday.
After the end of the Champions League and Europe League group stage, the Los Blancos polled a distant 144,000 points to Barcelona’s 127,000 points, Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, who are placed third, while Ateltico finished fourth on the log.
Italian teams have confirmed themselves as protagonists in European competitions. Juventus being the best Serie A team are in 5th spot overall with 120,000 points.
Roma are the second placed Italian team in 12th place but one step away from the top 10.
Seventy-nine thousand points for the Giallorossi, only 7,000 less than Arsenal in 10th.
The club from the capital has earned nine positions in a year (21st at the end of last season).
Napoli are in 16th, a position higher than last year, while Fiorentina are in 37th, Lazio in 39th (three positions lower).
The masterpiece, however, is Inter’s jump: Spalletti’s team, despite the elimination in the group stage of the Champions League, is in 55th place, gaining 30 positions compared to last season. AC Milan fell from 53rd position to 76th because of the five-year calculation from the 2013/14 exit.
