The Chairman of Ikole Local Government Council of Ekiti State, Sola Olominu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing an indigene of the area, Dr Vincent Olatunji, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB).
Olominu gave the commendation Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ikole-Ekiti.
He described Olatunji, who hails from Ara-Ekiti, as an intelligent and hardworking personality.
The chairman said that the whole community was delighted with the news of Olatunji’s appointment as the pioneer National Commissioner and Chief Executive officer of NDPB.
Olominu commended the President for considering an Ekiti indigene worthy of controlling the affairs of the newly-established agency.
“On behalf of all Ikole-Ekiti indigenes, I want to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing one of our prominent sons in Ara-Ekiti, Dr Vincent Olatunji, as the National Commissioner and CEO of Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB).
“The entire indigenes of Ikole Local Government are grateful to Mr President for the honour and privilege given to him to serve as the pioneer boss of the agency.
“We pray for good health and long life for the president and his entire cabinet members,” he said.
Olominu also congratulated Olatunji and his family on the appointment, praying for divine wisdom for him to succeed in the assignment.
It would be recalled that Olatunji was appointed the pioneer National Commissioner and CEO of NDPB on February 4 by the President.
