Eagles will get fans support in Brazil – Ambassador

The newly-appointed Ambassador of Nigeria to Brazil, Adamu Emozozo, has assured the Super Eagles of a friendly and conducive atmosphere throughout the duration of the Nigerian team’s stay in Brazil for this year’s World Cup.
Emozozo, who came to the Zone 7 Abuja Secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation, expressed satisfaction with the preparations of the Football House in respect of the World Cup.
He added that he and the President of the NFF, Aminu Maigari, had fruitful discussions as regards Nigeria’s preparations for the competition holding from June 12 this year in Brazil.
He said: “The expectations of Nigerians as far as (Nigerian) Embassy in Brazil is concerned are that they would be coming from home to home.
“We hope to give them the best of environment that will enable the players to do well in the competition and also play good football.
“But the general expectation back home, I think all Nigerians like football and we will expect the Super Eagles to make us all proud in the World Cup.”
Emozozo also assured Nigerians of the large turnout of Nigerians at the Eagles’ match venues.
He said: “We have a lot of Nigerians or Nigeria related people in Brazil who will give Nigeria whatever amount of support we need for the Eagles to triumph.
“I am sure that the Brazilians would be there to support us (the Super Eagles).
“Because they are sporting people, the Brazilians will support the Eagles to the last whistle even if we (Nigeria) have to beat Brazil in the competition.
“We will surely do our best to ensure Nigerians living in Brazil troop out in large numbers to support the Super Eagles in all the matches the team would play in Brazil.”
