Following a purported endorsement of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for second term in office by traditional rulers from Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, the Vice-Chairman (Abia North) of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State, Hon. Chris Aja, has cautioned the Governor against dragging monarchs into the murky waters of politics.
According to the APC chieftain, the traditional rulers, who paid a visit to the state helmsman, were cajoled by the Chairman of Isikwuato LGA, Chief Nnamani Udueze, on the premises that the visit will not be associated with politics.
The APC stalwart while stressing that the APC will not leave any stone unturned in the forthcoming general elections, called on the electorate to vote en-masse for President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Uche Ogah (Governor) , Dr. Orji Kalu (Senate, Abia North) and other APC candidates in the state.
Aja commended the federal government for its giant developmental strides in the South East, adding that previous governments had marginalized the region interms of projects and political appointments.
