Besiktas don’t know where Dele Alli is after the former England international failed to return from a break.
The player joined the Istanbul giants on loan from Everton this season, but things haven’t gone to plan.
After scoring a crucial goal in a 3-2 win over Ankaragucu in his second game, Alli’s impact and minutes quickly dwindled.
His last appearance for the Turkish side was on February 26, while his last start and goal came in January.
There have since been reports that Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has banished Alli from his squad, and forced him to watch the remainder of the season from the stands.
Alli isn’t even up for doing that though, according to his coach, who says the former Tottenham man is yet to return from some time off.
“We gave Dele Alli permission for a small break, he hasn’t come back yet,” Gunes said.
“It’s raining, that’s probably why he didn’t come. We’re trying to find out where he is.”
