The Minister of Defence, Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali, has congratulated the newly promoted seniors officers of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force.
The Councils of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force last week announced the promotion of about 500 senior military officers.
The Minister advised the officers to consider their promotion to a higher rank as a trust and confidence bestowed on them by their respective services and the nation.
Dan-Ali said instead of indulging in merry making, they should use the period to reflect on how their new ranks and additional responsibilities will contribute positively to the current security challenges and the overall development of the nation’s armed forces and the country in general.
