Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, has been taken to hospital having picked up a shin injury during Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Everton at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard registered a goal and assist in quick succession to help Chelsea overturn a two-goal deficit against the Toffees, but was forced off in the 80th minute with the injury.
Costa has since been taken to hospital for a scan on the problem, which interim manager Guus Hiddink is hopeful is not too serious.
“We don’t know the result yet and I hope it’s not bad. He was in a lot of pain,” he told reporters.
Costa has scored five goals in five matches since Hiddink took over at Stamford Bridge.
