“She called another time and she told me that she wants me to make hair for someone. Mama K took me to Redwood Hospital, Abeokuta in August 2022. She deceived me, because it was not my intention. She told me she wanted to make hair for someone then we got the hospital. When we got there, she said I should be calm and not worry that nothing will happen. She was trying to be comforting”
Added her father, Reverend Ikechukwu Reigns Umeayo: “I didn’t expect my daughter to go into that to that extent without letting me know. Because it was when they wanted to die, I knew and she was hiding it from me. But she told me that there’s a lot of fear that was projected on her, and she didn’t want me to feel bad. She was just in between. And she was promising that they are going to do it and nobody will know about it, and I felt bad”.
The alleged perpetrators of this crime remain free.
