Cardiff City enters Osaze race

Cardiff City have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigerian international, Osaze Peter Odemwingie.
The Birmingham Mail reports that Albion outcast, Odemwingie, is now on Cardiff’s radar, but he has a number of summer suitors, with Crystal Palace, West Ham, Swansea, Hull and Fulham also reportedly interested.
Palace were believed to be at the front of the queue for his signature and have held discussions with Albion – but the two parties are still some way apart in their valuations of the striker.
Meanwhile, The Baggies left for Austria on Monday with rebel striker, Odemwingie, hoping to secure his exit from The Hawthorns before his teammates return.
The Nigeria international, who turned 32 on Monday (today), was expected to be left behind when Steve Clarke’s squad departed for their pre-season tour after being made to change and train alone last week.
And the want-away forward hopes to make progress on a transfer before the Baggies fly home a week on Tuesday, with interest hotting up from other Premier League sides.
Crystal Palace remain the leading contenders for Odemwingie’s signature, having already held informal discussions with his representatives and with Baggies officials.
