Super Eagles Team B, also known as home-Eagles, were held to a scoreless draw on Wednesday night by their eternal rivals, Cameroon.
The game took place at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium.
Despite dominating the tie, the CHAN Eagles failed to create any clear cut chance in front of goal.
The 2014 African Nations Championship bronze medallists were out of sorts as the several chances the CHAN Eagles had were fluffed with Gabriel Okechukwu the chief culprit.
Nigeria started the second half on the front foot but that desire was at no point translated into chances.
The Nigerian side will take on Rwanda (hosts of the last edition of the competition two years ago) at the Stade Ibn Batouta on January 15 at 7.30pm (8.30pm Nigeria time), before games against Libya at the same venue on January 19 (starting from 4.30pm; 5.30pm Nigeria time) and Equatorial Guinea in Agadir on January 23 (starting 7pm Morocco time; 8pm Nigeria time).
