Burnley vs Man City
Venue: Turf Moor
Kick off: 1:30pm
Burnley take on Manchester City in the Premier League clash at Turf Moor today after suffering a 4-0 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League fixture.
So far, they are yet to win a match in the league away from home and have managed only a point in five away league fixtures.
Sean Dyche’s side grabbed a point against Manchester United when they visited Old Trafford. It was frustrating for Jose Mourinho’s side as Tom Heaton’s heroics in front of the goal made sure the match ended in a goalless draw.
However, the Clarets have been impressive at home in the league this term. They suffered a defeat at the hands of Swansea City on the opening day, while Arsenal managed to walk away from Turf Moor with three points.
Burnley have defeated Liverpool, Everton, Crystal Palace and Watford at home. Dyche will be targeting another win when the Premier League giants make a trip to Turf Moor today.
City, on the other hand, made it to the last 16 of the Champions League following their 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany. Since the end of September, Pep Guardiola has seen his side manage only three wins in all competitions and were also knocked out of the EFL Cup by Mourinho’s United.
Yaya Toure returned to the starting lineup against Crystal Palace and the Ivory Coast midfielder’s brace helped the Citizens beat the Eagles 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager will be hoping his side can seal another win when they face Burnley this weekend.
