Operatives of the Nigeria Police on Friday blocked the residence of a former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris, in Lokoja.
The house of the former Governor was being used for the hosting of the PDP meeting in a state under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, with Yahaya Bello as Governor.
Sources said, however, said some of the party leaders had gained entrance into the venue before the arrival of the detachment of policemen that sealed the house.
The policemen are preventing those arriving from entering.
The meeting is coming ahead of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
