Breaking: Lagos lawmakers impeach Speaker Obasa over alleged misconduct

In another twist of events, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have reportedly impeached Speaker Mudashiru Obasa over allegations bordering on abuse of office and gross misconduct.

The lawmakers subsequently elected Mojisola Meranda, representative of Apapa I, as the new speaker.
