Nigeria’s hat trick hero in the 6-1 defeat of Tahiti on Monday,Nnamdi
Oduamadi, may be magnetised to stay in Brazil if discussions with him
yield fruits.
Oduamadi is the target of Salvador club side in the Campeonato
Brasileiro Série A (Brazil’s top division), Vitoria.
Incidentally, it was the same club that another Nigerian former
international, Richard Owubokiri, played for in the seasons 1984 to
1986.
The club is targeting the AC Milan hit man and three other players to
reinforce its attack during the second half of the current season.
Oduamadi is believed to have been suggested to the club by Owubokiri
who had also starred for Flamengo Bahia in his active days in the
1980s.
Owubokiri has since settled down in Salvador where he is a player
agent as well as an estate agent.
It was however gathered that he has been targeted long before the
Confederations Cup as the search lights had been beamed on him two
months ago.
Owubokiri was in the Super Eagles’ hotel in Salvador on Thursday and
he confirmed the possibility of Oduamadi returning to Brazil after the Confederations Cup.
