Suspected members of Boko Haram on Monday shot dead five person in Maiduguri, Borno State and Damaturu in Yobe State.
While two persons were killed in Maiduguri, three, who were Chadians, were killed in Damaturu.
According to a report by Reuters on Monday, the Victor Ebheleme of the military task force in the North-East states confirmed the Maiduguri killing.
Ebheleme said: “Two people have been shot dead today by Boko Haram in Maiduguri. The area in which the attack took place has been cordoned off and the killers have been trailed, but no arrests have been made yet.”
The death of the three Chadians in Damaturu was confirmed by the police.
