Two days after he returned from the Holy land in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party in Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State, Alhaji Tar Kusurambe, has been killed.
Kusurambe, according to reports, was killed in his home in the wee hours of Monday.
So also did gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members kill a businessman, Alhaji Dala Bama, and the District Head of Gudumbali (name withheld), on Saturday.
Kusurambe’s killers were said to have arrived at his residence 2.15am on two motorcycles.
They reportedly went into his house and shot him several times in the head until he was confirmed dead.
Soldiers and policemen only arrived after the gunmen had fled the scene.
Those who killed the District Head of Gudumbali were said to have arrived at the palace at about 8:15pm on Saturday on two motorcycles.
The traditional ruler was shot on the head and chest by his assailants.
The spokesman of Borno State Police Command, Gideon Jibrin, confirmed the incidents.
