Nigerian forward Sone Aluko’s goal against Preston North End in an English Championship game has been nominated for Fulham Goal of the Month award for March.
The information was obtained from Fulham’s official website by the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday.
NAN reports that Aluko’s goal has been shortlisted among 11 other goals selected, and the best goal is expected to be voted for by Fulham fans.
It was the first goal of the game which also saw Aluko provide the assistance for Fulham’s third scored goal by Neesken Kebano.
Fulham went on to win the game 3-1 inside the Craven Cottage.
Other players whose goal(s) have been selected are: Ryan Sessegnon, Tom Cairney, Gohi Cyriac, Chris Martin, Joshua Walker, Jon Dagur Thorsteinnson, Michael Elstone and Dennis Odoi.
Fulham’s Goal of the Month for March Nominees are: Sone Aluko (Fulham vs Preston), Chris Martin (Fulham vs Preston), Tom Cairney (Fulham vs Leeds/ Fulham vs Newcastle), and Michael Elstone (Fulham U18s vs Aston Villa U18s / Fulham U18s vs Stoke U18s).
Others are; Dennis Odoi (Fulham vs Wolverhampton), Joshua Walker (Fulham U23s vs Norwich U23s), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham vs Newcastle) and Gohi Cyriac (Fulham vs Blackburn Rovers).
The rest are: Jon Dagur Thorsteinnson (Fulham U23s vs Norwich U23s).
