Adamawa APC gets Interim Management Committee

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday inaugurated a 14-man Interim Management Committee to run its affairs.
Speaking during the ceremony in Yola, Alhaji Umar Duhu, the Interim National Vice-Chairman, APC (North-East), noted that the inauguration was in line with the party’s constitution.
“Today is another milestone in the history of APC in Adamawa with the inauguration of its Interim Management Committee,” Duhu said.
According to him, the committee will be responsible for the registration of members of the party slated for February.
He said that it would also be responsible for the establishment of the party’s offices in 226 wards and 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Chairman of the committee, Kobis Aris, said the team would do everything within its powers to register members and woo more people to the party.
Aris, who is also Secretary to the State Government, urged all stakeholders and members to come together and work toward giving the party victory in elections.
Other members of the committee include Ambassador Fati Ballah, Secretary; Alhaji Musa Kamale, Treasurer; Abdullahi Bakari, Organising Secretary; and Salihu Ahmed, Publicity Secretary.
It also has Danboyi Jiddo as Youth Leader; Titi Maliki as Woman Leader; and Alhaji Saidu Naira, Wafarinyi Theman and Fatima Mohammed as ex-officio members among others.
Governor Murtala Nyako and the party’s Interim National Chairman, North, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, attended the occasion.
A former speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Bello Masari; retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa; and Markus Gundiri were also present.
