ABS FC Coach demands good attitude of players to beat 3SC

The Coach of Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin, Henry Makinwa, has demanded good attitude of his players to beat 3SC of Ibadan on Sunday at home.
Makinwa told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Ilorin that such was necessary to keep their impressive start to the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League.
ABS had in their first game of the season won 3-1 against Akwa United FC of Uyo and in the Match Day 2 drew 1-1 away against Niger Tornadoes of Minna.
They also beat FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0 in Match Day 3 and lost 0-3 to Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Match Day 4 at Aper Aku Stadium.
NAN reports that 3SC will be guests of Saraki Boys for NPFL Match Day 5 fixture at Kwara Stadium Complex on Sunday in Ilorin.
Makinwa said that it would be difficult for any player to keep a good form because of NPFL’s fixtures’ congestion.
The ABS coach explained that tiredness arising from long hours of journey was responsible for his team’s heavy loss to Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Wednesday.
Makinwa added that it was difficult to replicate a good form over and over again because of the cumbersome nature of the fixtures.
He said: “I am not happy with the congested fixtures because it is not helping the players at all.
“The means of transportation for teams in the NPFL is not conducive to play three games in a week.
“Fatigue was responsible for our loss in Makurdi because many of the players didn’t respond to training and plans on match days.
“We have put that behind us, we want to respond with a convincing win over 3SC.
“We know it is going to be difficult but then we can show our class on Sunday.’’
The former Real Sociedad of Spain attacker said he would have to assess his squad that prosecuted the Match Day 3 and 4 after Friday’s training to see if there was need to drop anyone.
3SC would be coming into the game to make amends after a disappointing one all draw with MFM on Match Day 4 in Ibadan.
The Oluyole Warriors are bad travellers this season so far and have yet to pick a point on the road since the commencement of the 2016/2017 season.
They were close to picking a point against Kano Pillars on Match Day 3 in Kano when they finished the first half of the match 1-0 but only to lose 1-2 at the end of the game.
ABS on the other hand will be looking to maintain its 100 per cent home record since last season at the Kwara Stadium Complex.
The Saraki Boys have so far this season saw off Akwa United and FC IfeanyiUbah at home.
