More details have emerged on the choice of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, as his new deputy, Omobayo Marvellous Godwin.
The Eagle Online recalls the new Deputy Governor emerged following the removal of Philip Shaibu by the state assembly.
Shortly after the impeachment and removal from office of Shaibu on Monday, Godwin was sworn-in as Obaseki’s deputy.
Godwin is an Oil and Gas professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering.

He was the candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections for Akoko Edo Federal Constituency of Edo State for the House of Representatives poll.
He is over 37 years old.
