The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified from the group stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire for the Round of 16.
This followed their one nil win against Guinea Bissau on Monday in the last match of their Group A pairing.
The lone goal of the match was an own goal by the central defender of the Guinea Bissau team.
The host, Cote d’Ivoire, in the other Group A match, were humiliated by Equatorial Guinea.

They conceded four goals and were unable to reply with any.
With the last matches played, Equatorial Guinea are at the top of Group A with seven points, with a +6 goal difference.
Nigeria, with the same number of points, are second, while Cote d’Ivoire are third with three points.
Guinea Bissau came out of the group with no points.
