Burna Boy has been beaten to the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary World Music by Angelique Kidjo.
The award took place on Sunday night.
Burna Boy had been nominated in the category for his acclaimed album: “African Giant.”
He was nominated alongside Kidjo, Nathalie Joachim with Spektral Quartet, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley and Altin Gün.
The award makes it the fourth for Kidjo in the Best Contemporary World Music Album.
She won with her album: “Celia.”
