Nigeria’s sole representative on the continent, Enyimba FC of Aba, has been seeded in Pot One ahead of Saturday’s draw for the CAF Confederation Cup grouping.
The former African champions were seeded alongside USM Alger (Algeria), Al Hilal (Sudan) and AS Vita (DR Congo).
The draw will take place at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt at 12 noon.
Pot 2 has the other 12 qualified teams: CARA (Congo), ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), Williamsville A.C (Côte d’Ivoire), Al Masry (Egypt), Aduana Stars (Ghana), Gor Mahia (Kenya), Djoliba (Mali), RS Berkane (Morocco), Raja Club Athletic (Morocco), UD Songo ( Mozambique), Rayon Sport (Rwanda) and Young Africans (Tanzania).
The 16 teams shall be distributed into four groups: A, B, C, D, starting with Pot 2.
The qualified teams were ranked according to their performances in the last five editions of the CAF Interclubs competitions (2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013).
