Not many really know that the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, hardly stays in her Round Bowl Alausa office to discharge her official duties as the second-in-command in Lagos State.
Instead, our amiable deputy governor is always busy representing her boss, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, at one event or another.
A source, who has been making frantic efforts to have audience with the hair dresser turned politician recently discovered that fact to his chagrin.
But can you blame her?
Some said the reason that could be adduced for this role assigned to her is her low level education.
Recall that her predecessor, Adebisi Sarah Sosan, was saddled with overseeing the Ministry of Education, a sector she turned around to the satisfaction of Fashola.
Orelope-Adefulire is, probably, one of the happiest and luckiest politicians in Nigeria today considering the manner and circumstances of her emergence.
It was merely the theory of possibility that worked for her, courtesy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, some have continued to argue, and not her capability.
But all said and done, the former Woman Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria has conducted herself well in a manner belying her academic limitations.
Give it to her, she carries herself well in public.
