Gunmen on Christmas eve on Tuesday killed six Christian worshippers.
The worshippers were shot dead during a Christmas eve service at the First Baptist Church in Maiduguri, Borno State.
A deacon and five church members were killed.
It was the same situation in Jiri, Potiskum, Yobe State on Christmas even when gunmen shot dead six persons, including the presiding pastor, at the Church of Christ in Nations.
The military confirmed the strike by gunmen in Yobe.
It said the gunmen, after they were repelled in an attempted attack on Potiskum, unleashed terror on the church as they fled.
Like the Yobe State attack, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack on the First Baptist Church in Borno State.
